LIVERMORE FALLS – A police cruiser received $2,800 damage Saturday night after a deer jumped off a snowbank into its path on Park Street, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
The driver of the 2008 Crown Victoria, reserve officer Adam Sage, 30, of Livermore, was not hurt.
The car’s front passenger side was damaged, Steward said. The cruiser was driven to the police station and will be out of service until it’s repaired.
The accident happened in the number 700s address section of Park Street, also known as Route 133, Steward said.
Lt. Thomas Gould said the deer was dead at the scene and given to a Jay resident.
