JAY — Circle 677, Daughters of Isabella, met Feb. 9 at St. Rose of Lima Church after a three-month break. John Crowley was there to take a photo of the officers for the parish directory.

The meeting was called to order at 6:45 by Regent Laurie Gagnepain. Chancellor Laurieanne Castonguay led everyone in the recitation of the Rosary followed by a ceremony for deceased member, Lucille Desjardins. The opening ode was recited followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

A short form conferral for new members Linda O’Brian and Marie Hamel was held. Minutes for the November meeting were read by recording secretary, Louise Chandler.

State and international communications for November, December and January were read by Gagnepain. A letter from Livermore Falls Middle School seeks donations for the Price is Right, which they will hold.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 2, as the second Wednesday of March will be Ash Wednesday. The Daughters’ Mardi Gras will be held on Tuesday, March 8, and the committee will be whoever was on the November committee.

Members discussed a baked bean supper to be on Saturday, March 26, and anyone wishing to donate something for the Chinese auction table should call Maryette Castonguay.

On Friday, March,11, Stations of the Cross will be held at St. Rose and Daughters wishing to read one of the stations should call Castonguay. A resignation letter was read and accepted from Rosemary Poulson.

The Youth Ministry will be taking orders for salmon pies. Anyone interrested in a pie should call Mary Chasse. Chasse shared her Story of Faith, and the meeting came to a close at 8:45.
