FREEPORT — L.L. Bean’s Kids Winter Fun Week, Feb. 19-27, is geared toward families who enjoy music and spending time outdoors.

Youngsters can try their hand at archery, learn to tie flies, go snow tubing and listen to the music of Ellis Paul, a principal leader in the wave of singer-songwriters emerging from the Boston folk scene; Keith Munslow, known for his funky piano playing, soulful singing, funny stories and lightning fast cartooning; the family rock band Bari Koral; and Michael Parent, internationally renowned storyteller and singer, in English and in French.

Also performing will be Brent McCoy, a one-man comedy and circus; the Flannery Brothers, two musicians and vocalists, Dan and Mike Flannery, who craft songs with comic and thoughtful twists; and the Yo Yo People, lauded for the 2008 World Yo-Yo Champion in Artistic Performance.

There will also be snowshoeing through an obstacle course, an opportunity to meet a dog sled team and a host of other activities.

Admission to these events is free.

In addition, L.L.Bean’s Outdoor Discovery experts will offer Walk On Adventures, snowshoeing and cross country skiing, all week, for $15. Participants may sign up at the store on the day of the event; equipment and transportation is provided.

L.L.Bean is on Main Street. For a schedule of events, visit llbean.com/stores or call 1-800-559-0747, ext. 37222.
