AUBURN — “Interesting Jobs: 911 Center Dispatcher” will be the focus of a program at noon Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Auburn Public Library.

Phyllis Gamage-Jensen, director of the Lewiston-Auburn 911 Communications Center, will discuss how the 911 system developed, what 911 center workers do, how they are continually trained and what directions new technologies might take the job in the future.

The free brown bag lunch program will begin at noon in the Androscoggin Community Room. Attendees are welcome to bring a bagged lunch if they like, or to order out at the Library Café.
