According to a police report, Hall was headed north on Washington Street and was turning left onto Moose Brook Road when his car collided with the tractor trailer.

Cannon was examined at the scene for cuts and scrapes.

Phil Nadeau, Lewiston’s deputy city administrator, was driving on Washington Street when the vehicles collided. He said several motorist stopped at the scene to help the victims while emergency crews were on the way.

“It was bad,” said Nadeau, who stopped to direct traffic before police arrived. “A couple of good Samaritans stopped to help and staunched the bleeding” of the injured man.
