NORWALK, Conn. — The wedding of Candace Cabrera and Gregory Richard Moore was held at 4:30 p.m. on July 16 at the Dolce in Norwalk, Conn. Mary Palmer, aunt of the bride and notary public, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Moore is the daughter of John Deeds of Roxbury, Conn., and Lisa Palmer of Canaan, Conn. Mr. Moore is the son of Moe and Janis Moore of Lisbon.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, John Deeds. Serving as maid of honor was Misty Brewer, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emily Ehlers, cousin of the bride, and Maryann Hoyt, Meredith Ouellette and Jenna Manghnani, friends of the bride. Sarah Moore, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
Serving as best man for his brother was Ryan Moore. Ushers were Allen Deeds, brothers of the bride, and Zachary Schmoll, Jimmy Howard and Nigel Dawes, friends of the bridegroom. Ring bearers were Sean Moore, nephew of the bridegroom, and Michael Manente, cousin of the bride.
Readings were presented by Andrea Palmer, cousin of the bride, and Janis Moore, mother of the bridegroom.
A reception followed at the Dolce Norwalk in Norwalk, Conn. A wedding trip is planned in May to Las Vegas, Nev. The couple is residing at Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She received her master’s degree in secondary education in 2005. She is a wedding planner at Jettingtothewedding.com.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Mich., and a 2006 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and physical education. He is a professional hockey player with the Philadelphia Flyers organization, currently assigned to the Adirondack Phantoms in Glens Falls, N.Y.
