WATERFORD — The Waterford World’s Fair announces that the directors recently voted to award a $500 scholarship to a student who is continuing their education in the agriculture field.

To be eligible, the student must be majoring in agriculture at a community college or university and the student must write a brief essay describing their experience with agriculture and how the scholarship would be used; have a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor or employer; and detail their association with Waterford World’s Fair.

For an application or questions, students may call President Dana Hemingway at 595-2430 or Dottie Bell at 583-4146. Application need to be submitted by April 15. The scholarship will be awarded to the winner when the first semester is completed.
