LEWISTON — Arthur D. Bellmore, 91, of Lewiston, passed away Feb. 22, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.

He was born Nov. 17, 1919, a son of the late Eugene and Josephine (Therrien) Bellmore. Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He retired in 1987, after many years of service at Downeast Shoe Factory.

Arthur was a member of the American Legion Post 22 and Holy Family Parish. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and will always be remembered as a fantastic cook.

Arthur is survived by one son, Donald Bellmore and his wife, Cricket, of Arizona; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne (Crete) Bellmore in 1987; and his siblings, Elsie Grenier, Wilfred Bellmore and Fern Bellmore.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at d’Youville Pavilion for all of their wonder care they provided to Arthur.
