LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors met at Murray Hall with 27 members and two guests present on Feb. 21.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture announced that Raoul Roy died Feb. 20 and the wake would be Wednesday, Feb. 23, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at St. Rose of Lima Church.

Insurance representatives from Augusta will be present Monday, Feb. 28, to address concerns seniors have in regard to the changes in the Medicaid and Medicare insurance coverages.  Area residents are welcome to attend even if not a member.

Couture announced there will be no meeting on April 11 because electrical changes will be made at the hall during that week. The 50/50 was won by Marguerite Slovak.  Diane Getz and Carmen Moreau volunteered to bring refreshments on Feb. 28.

A successful Chinese auction was held after the meeting. Members and guests then had refreshments donated by Jeannine Williams, Nancy Couture and Fernande Doiron.

Anyone age 55 or over interested in joining the seniors are welcome to join the group at 1 p.m. Mondays.
