PORTLAND — Jean A. Corcoran, 67, a resident of Farrington Road, Jay, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 15, 1943, in Chisholm, the daughter of Lucien and Irma (Pelletier) LeBlond. Jean attended St. Rose of Lima School and was a 1961 graduate of Jay High School.

On Sept. 14, 1963, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married her husband of 47 years, Danny Corcoran. She had worked at Livermore Shoe, Franklin Shoe and Ames Department store. Jean served as Ballot Clerk for the town of Jay; she was a member of the Farmington Emblem Club, and the Wilton Women’s Bowling League.

She enjoyed camping with friends and family, crocheting, morning coffee with her best friend, Rita Farrington, but especially attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan, but was better known as a No. 1 fan of the Jay Tigers. Jean was known as “Grammy Jean” to everyone. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Corcoran of Jay; two daughters, Tammy Deering and her husband, Rondell, of Jay and Vicki McLeod and her husband, Michael, of Jay; her son, Robert Corcoran of Livermore Falls; father-in-law, Carl Goding of Livermore Falls; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, Rondell Jr., and Alexi Deering, Kristyn and Alyssa Timberlake and Austin McLeod; and great-grandson, Laeton Shawn Ready.

She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Norman, Robert and Nancy LeBlond; and her mother-in-law, Madeline Goding.
