LEWISTON — A red carpet screening of “The Rehearsal,” a film documenting the behind-the-scenes preparation of four performers who find healing in the arts, will be shown Friday, Feb. 25, at Bates College.

The film follows the performers, each of whom has received mental health support, one week before their show, “Inspired Voices,” when they publicly share their stories of recovery.

“The Rehearsal” captures their courage and talent, and demonstrates the power of art to connect, heal and inspire.

It has been accepted for screening as part of the L-A Film Festival scheduled for April, and has been nominated the People’s Choice Award.

“The Rehearsal” will be shown at 5:30 p.m. in the Olin Arts Center. A panel facilitated by Andrew Harris with performers and organizers will follow.

Donations to Tri-County Mental Health will be accepted at the door.
