FARMINGTON — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will hold a workshop on Tuesday, March 15, on how to market businesses, attractions and communities to the bus tour industry. The workshop will be held at 6 p.m. at Cooperative Extension’s Farmington office at 138 Pleasant St.

The motor coach industry can bring positive economic impacts to communities and businesses. The workshop will give participants an understanding of the industry and the tools needed to tap into the bus tour market.

An industry professional will provide insights and information from a tour operator’s perspective. Cooperative Extension’s Marc Edwards will provide information on trends in the industry, the economic impact a bus tour can have on a community and other relative and research based information.

The fee is $25. Space is limited and registration is requested. Contact Cooperative Extension’s Franklin County Office at 778-4650 or 1-800-287-1478 to register or for more information.

Contact the Franklin County Extension office at least five days in advance if special accommodations are needed.
