Lenten lunches
RUMFORD — St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will have three salmon pie luncheons during Lent: Fridays, March 11, 18 and 25.
The menu will include salmon pie with egg sauce, vegetables, coleslaw, rolls, pickles, beverage and dessert. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The price is $7. Takeouts will be available.
Sliders to meet
ROXBURY — The Slippery Sliders snowmobile club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the home of Sylvia Touchette.
Chinese auction
CANTON — The Canton Fire Department will sponsor a Chinese Auction on Saturday, Feb. 26, at the new fire station to benefit the Cavanaugh and Barrett families. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and tickets will be sold until 1 p.m., then drawn. A raffle and 50/50 will be held. Snow date will be Sunday, Feb.27.
College visit
WATERVILLE— A representative from Thomas College will visit Dirigo High School in Dixfield at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, and Livermore Falls High School at 9 a.m. that day.
The representative will meet with students to discuss the school’s academic and sports programs and its residential life opportunities.
