LISBON — A local woman was taken to a hospital after her car skidded off Lisbon Street in Lisbon Center on Friday morning.

Police Officer Darrin Estes said Summer Parsons, 33, was driving east near 380 Lisbon St. when her sport utility vehicle skidded on the icy road, went off the left shoulder and struck a utility pole at about 9:18 am.

Parsons complained of pain and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by Lisbon Emergency, Estes said. A spokeswoman said Friday night that Parsons was not a patient there.

Damage was estimated at $5,000 to Parsons’ 2003 Suzuki. There was no damage to the pole, Estes said.
