LONG BRANCH, N.J. — Roger J. Rossignol, 70, of Eatontown, N.J., died Wednesday, Feb. 23, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch.
He was born in New York, was raised and lived in Lewiston, attending Lewiston High School and graduating from Saint Dominic’s High School in 1959.
He later moved to New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps and was a former member of Young Republicans and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid sailor and a licensed captain.
He was president and co-owner of International Protective Coatings in Oakhurst, N.J., from 1984 until retiring in 1999.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Cone Rossignol; his children, Vincent and his wife, Jennifer Rossignol, of Florida, Michael and his wife, Dawn Rossignol, of Morristown, N.J., David and his wife, Terri Rossignol, of Auburn and Tricia and her husband, John Giard, of Auburn; his grandchildren, Ashley Hughes, Maxwell and Morgan Giard, Zachary and Renee Rossignol and Lucy Rossignol; his brothers, Robert Rossignol of Georgia, and Rodney Rossignol of Florida; sisters, Maxine Shanks of Florida, and Barbara Hughes of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Willard and Claire Rossignol; and a brother, Richard, all of Lewiston.
