This is in response to the letter from Heidi Brooks, printed Feb. 23.

I think I will call my boss tonight to say: “Hello, boss. I won’t be in for a couple weeks. I don’t like your policy changes.”

Gee, I wonder what would happen to my job? The boss would say, “Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.”

The only reason the Democratic state senators in Wisconsin are being absent is because the big unions helped them get elected.

Taxpayers cannot afford the unions’ outrageous benefits any longer.

Here in Maine, I hope the taxpayers stand up for once.

How about the unions fighting for the taxpayers for a change?

I fear it will never happen.
