WATERVILLE — Students from Colby College have recently returned from spending the fall semester studying abroad.

Sierra N. Medling, a junior, studied in Ireland at University College Cork. Medling, a graduate of Mt. Blue High School, is the daughter of Christine Tropeano of Farmington and Tracy Medling of Anson. She is majoring in religious studies.

Alexandra A. Nichols, a junior, studied in Switzerland at the University of Geneva. Nichols, a graduate of Mt. Blue High School, is the daughter of Daren Nichols of Minot and Jeffrey Bessey and Ashley Hodgdon Bessey of West Farmington. She is majoring in French studies and international studies.

Hannah C. DeAngelis, a junior, studied in Senegal at SIT- Senegal. DeAngelis, a graduate of Maranacook Community School, is the daughter of Steven DeAngelis and Tara Wicks of Readfield. She is majoring in anthropology.

Kristen J. Erickson, a junior, studied in France at the Universite de Grenoble. Erickson, a graduate of Edward Little High School, is the daughter of David and Jane Erickson of Auburn. She is majoring in psychology with a neuroscience concentration.

Jason M. Parrett, a junior, studied in Russia at the St. Petersburg Classical Gymnasium through the Colby in St. Petersburg program. Parrett, a graduate of Mt. Abram Regional High School, is the son of Stephen Parrett and Ann Kessler-Parrett of Stratton. He is majoring in economics with a concentration in international economics.

More than two thirds of Colby students study overseas before they graduate. .
