LEWISTON — Ronald Leslie Thurston, 68, of Curtis Road, Arundel, passed away on Feb. 26, in Lewiston, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Rumford, Feb. 15, 1943, a son of the late Arthur “Stub” and Mary (Glover) Thurston.

He graduated from Stephens Memorial High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Ronald worked for Langford and Low Construction, Nest and Son, and Winding Brook Turf Co.

Ronald enjoyed hunting, harness racing, snowmobiling and four wheeling.

He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth and Rex Thurston; and a sister, Karen Thurston.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Carol (Davis) Thurston; steptson, Rodney Walker and his wife, Stacie; grandson, Nick of Waterboro; stepdaughter, Suzanne Bryant; granddaughter, Tamara Walker of Arundel; and brothers, Ralph Thurston of Rumford and Mark Thurston of Andover.
