ALBANY TOWNSHIP — Howard G. Inman, 86, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 1.

He was born in Albany, Dec, 21, 1924, the son of Benjamin and Gusta (Kimball) Inman.

He served in World War II and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star at the Battle of the Bulge.

On May 22, 1948, he married Barbara Stearns. He worked for Bennett’s Garage in Bethel for many years until he bought his own garage, Inman’s Garage in South Waterford which he ran for 25 years. He enjoyed his retirement in Florida, in the winters and at Songo Pond in the summers.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Barbara; children, Andy and Renee of Nashua, N.H., Mike and June of Albany, Terry and Frank of Albany and Nita and Ed of Norway; grandchildren, Michelle, Jason, Brian, Dareth, Chris and Kylie; and great-grandchildren Tyler, Ashley and Zackary.
