FARMINGTON — Sharon Medcoff, 63, formerly of North Jay, died early Friday, March 4, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 11, 1947, a daughter of Floyd and Ruth (Howard) Medcoff. She was employed at the Social Learning Center in Lewiston and later at Workfirst in Farmington. She loved horses and western movies and truly enjoyed being with people.

She is survived by her brother, Gordon Medcoff and his wife, Rebecca, of Jay; two nieces, Terri Harris of Jay and Brenda Medcoff of Dixfield; two nephews, Kyle Medcoff and Devin Medcoff, both of Jay; and several cousins.

The family would like to thank Joe Witt from the Maine Department of Mental Health, the staff at Sandy River Nursing Care Center and Franklin Memorial Hospital for “going above and beyond.”
