OXFORD — Karen Blackstone and Philip DuBois of Oxford are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Miss Blackstone, daughter of the late Jack and Lucille Blackstone of Zanesville, Ohio, graduated from Zanesville High School and received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Ohio Northern University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in MISST from Muskingum University.

Mr. DuBois, son of Phyllis DuBois of Friendship and the late Rev. Clarence DuBois, graduated from Mendota Township High School in Mendota, Ill. He attended Ohio Northern University and received a bachelor’s degree in theology and Christian music ministries from Berkshire Christian College. He also graduated from William Tyndale College with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and general arts, and from California College for Health Sciences with a master’s degree in health care administration. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and licensed minister with Second Best Ministries in Oxford.

The couple is planning a wedding for April 2 in Oxford, followed by a reception this summer in Ohio.
