JAY — The school consolidation Transition Committee will hold its first meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the Jay Middle School library.
The committee is charged with helping to move the consolidation effort forward until a new RSU 73 takes over.
Residents in Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls voted in January to merge Jay and RSU 36 school systems effective July 1.
During Tuesday’s meeting, a chairman of the committee will be appointed. Members will also review duties and the timeline of the Transition Committee. They will also discuss subcommittee support and establish a meeting schedule.
