Trailblazers cookout
MEXICO — The MexicoTrailblazers will hold a cookout at the clubhouse just off ITS 82 in Mexico from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, to benefit the trail grooming fund. Hamburgers, sausage, chili, desserts, coffee and soda will be served. All are welcome. For more information, call Nick at 364-8665.
Role of churches
NORWAY — As local groups meet to explore ways to create greener and more local ways of organizing communities called the Transition Town movement, the services at the First Universalist churches of Norway and West Paris on Sunday, March 13 will examine the role of local churches. “In a Transition Church” will be the title of the services, led by Rev. Richard Beal.
In Norway, Vessel recording artist Heather Pierson is the music director and choir leader. Jim Burke provides the music at the West Paris church.
The service at West Paris is at 9 a.m.; the service at Norway begins at 11 a.m. Child care is available. All are welcome. For more information, visit www.norwayuu.org.
