LEWISTON — The Senior College “Food for Thought” luncheon series at USM/Lewiston-Auburn College at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, will feature a presentation by Maureen Higgins.
In her program, “Overview of the Dempsey: Early Detection and Cancer Prevention,” she will lead an interactive discussion on ways to take charge of your health and reduce your risk of cancer. Her presentation will include new tools to help emphasize the importance of good preventative health.
Higgins is a LCSW and is a cancer health outreach educator with the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing in Lewiston.
Senior College, now in its 12th year, presents the monthly luncheon program at in Function Room 170 at USM LAC. The cost, which includes lunch, is $7 with advance reservation or $8 at the door. Reservations must be made by noon on March 10 by calling 753-6510.
