BATH — Lucille E. Harkins, 91, of 1 Washington St., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, at the Winship Green Nursing Center.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1919, a daughter of Ernest and Marie Gagne Bolduc, and grew up in Lewiston. She graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1938.

On Aug. 30, 1941, she married Edward A. Harkins and the couple were lifelong residents of Auburn and Small Point.

Family was first and foremost to her. She was a non-judgmental and supportive mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. A skilled seamstress, avid gardener and talented crafter, she shared her knowledge and mentored her family and friends with grace, dignity and joy.

Lucille was a communicate of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of the Phippsburg Historical Society and a founding member of the Palmyra Club.

Lucille is survived by a son, Donald E. Harkins and his wife, Karen, of Manchester, N.H.; a daughter, Judith A. Hebert and her husband, Denis, of Wiscasset; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband and treasured friend, Edward, Dec, 2, 1988; and two brothers, Zotique and Normand Bolduc.
