FARMINGTON — Sharon L. Buckman, 63, of Farmington, died Tuesday, March 8, at her home in Farmington, surrounded by her loving family thanks to the care and support of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1947, in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Joseph F. and Myrna (Sleeper) Curtis, Sr. She attended Jay schools.
Sharon worked as a certified nursing assistant most of her life in Manchester and Dover, N.H. nursing homes.
On Sept. 11, 2007, she married Frank Buckman. She enjoyed playing beano, “yard-saling,” and trips to the beach in York and the coastline in Rockland. Her greatest pleasure was time spent with her family, especially her children and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver, Frank, of Farmington; four children, Arthur Decato of Albion, Bobbie Ann Lavoie of Nashua, N.H., Alton “Tommy” Decato of Farmington and Myrna Bellot of Hudson, N.H.; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Melodie Dipietro of Rome; siblings, Theo Blowey of Landaff, N.H., Carlton Curtis of Leominster, Mass., Ruby Barnes of Vassalboro, Judy Waniski of Deerfield, N.H., Joseph F. Curtis Jr. of Hillsborough, N.H., Hope Cook of Terrill, Texas, and Millie Gleason of Mexico; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Virginia Bearden; and three infant brothers.
