LIVERMORE FALLS — Zachary Robert MacKenzie, 22, of Brookside Avenue in Livermore Falls and a former resident of Monmouth, died Tuesday, March 8, at his home.

He was born in Lewiston, June 7, 1988, the son of Mark E. MacKenzie and Trina Burgess. He was educated in Monmouth schools and graduated from Monmouth Academy in 2006; while attending MA, he was a member of the Monmouth Mustangs basketball team; he was attending Central Maine Community College in Auburn studying in the electrical program.

Zachary enjoyed fishing with his dad and Grampa Don on Cobbossee Stream; he enjoyed hunting and he and his family went on a moose hunt in the Northern part of Maine and were lucky enough to bag a moose. Zachary also enjoyed spending time with his family and always had a smile that was contagious. He enjoyed making things with his hands and was looking forward to becoming an electrician; he also enjoyed rehabbing houses with his fiancee, Michelle and best friend, Daniel Myrand.

Zachary is survived by his father, Mark MacKenzie and his companion, Rebecca Labranche, of Turner; his mother, Trina Burgess and her husband, Mark, of Monmouth; his fiancee, Michelle Pomeroy and her children, Devan and Julia Pomeroy, of Livermore Falls; a son, Liam Thomas Mackenzie; two sisters, Morgan MacKenzie and Emily Burgess of Monmouth; grandparents, John and Ellie MacKenzie of Florida, Donald and Pauline Cloutier of Monmouth and Jeff Travers of Turner;  and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by an infant sister, Brooke MacKenzie; and a grandmother, Mary MacKenzie.
