RUMFORD — Albert J. Girouard, 104, formerly of Roxbury, died Tuesday, March 8, at the Rumford Community Home.
He was born in Mexico, Nov. 3, 1906, the son of Fredrick and Eugenie (Googin) Girouard and had attended Mexico schools.
For many years, he was a self-employed woodsman, carpenter and painter, until retirement in 1971. He was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church.
Survivors include nephews, Albert Doucette of Rumford and Richard Libby and his wife, Nancy, of Peru; nieces, Claire Doucette and Theresa Parker of Connecticut, and Jeannie Brown of Auburn.
He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Tucker, Bertha Doucette, Yvonne Duguay and Alice Libby; and a brother, Nasthas Girouard.
