AUBURN — Bernadette G. Bellefleur, 65, of Auburn died Thursday, March 10, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, sourrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Hamlin, July 11, 1945, a daughter of the late Vincent and Anne (Cyr) Gorey. She was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1963. Bernadette married the love of her life, Ronald Bellefleur, April 4, 1964. He predeceased her in 1997.

She worked as a breakfast waitress at The Big S and then worked for Tambrands. She was a member of St. Louis Church. Bernadette enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking for her family and friends. Her family and especially her grandchildren were the focus of her life. She truly enjoyed spending time with them and vacationing with them every summer. She was a great caregiver and took care of everyone who needed it.

She leaves three sons, Kenneth Bellefleur and his wife, Claire, of Auburn, Kevin Bellefleur and Keith Bellefleur, both of Auburn; two daughters, Karen Whalen and her husband, Richard, of Minot and Angie Bellefleur of Auburn; two sisters, Gloria Croteau of Auburn and Susan Hiscock and her husband, Frank, of Turner; four brothers, Francis Gorey and his wife, Louise, of Auburn, George Gorey and his wife Jackie of Willimantic, Gene Gorey and his wife Doris of Lewiston and Roy Gorey and his wife Cindy of Turner, eight grandchildren; Ashley, Alyssa, Amanda, Abby and Alexis Bellefleur, Matthew and Garrett Whalen and Isabelle “Izzy” Bellefleur; and many nieces and nephews.
