LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Cecile Belanger Bonney was celebrated by the Rev. Nathan March Friday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish. At the entrance of church, Cecile’s two son’s, Earl and Richard Belanger draped their mother’s casket with the white burial pall signifying their mother’s Baptism into a new life with God. Readings were read by Cecile’s great grandchildren, Ashley and Kimberley Belanger. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Cecile’s great-grandchildren, Kathleena and Karissa Baldinelli, and great-granddaughter, Kimberly Belanger recited, “Memere’s Poem” at the conclusion of Mass. Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Father March recited committal prayers and then gave his final blessing to Cecile and for those in attendance. Pallbearers were Steven and Robert Belanger, William, Donald and Steven Hinson as well as Adam Smith. At the conclusion of committal prayers, all were then invited to a reception of fellowship at the home of Richard and Jane Belanger in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
