RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernice B. Comeau, of Rumford, was celebrated  Saturday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church, Maine Avenue, Rumford, with the Rev. Phil Tracy as celebrant.

Altar assistant was George Gionet. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Be Not Afraid,” “His Eye is on the Sparrow,” “Ave Maria,” and “Fly Like a Bird.”

Readings were given by her granddaughter, Melissa Comeau. The Eulogy was given by grandson, Craig Comeau.

Interment will be in the spring at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, at St. John Cemetery, Rumford.  Pallbearers were Mat Theriault,  Allen Chartier,  Jacques Chartier,  Mike Chartier, Roland Milligan Jr. and Corey Freeman.   

A reception followed at the parish hall of the church. Arrangements were under the care of Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
