BETHEL — A Norway may complained of pain from airbag deployment in a collision on Routes 2 and 26 on Saturday morning after another driver failed to yield, Oxford County Deputy Sheriff Michael R. Parshall of Bethel Patrol said.

Kyle Ingram, 24, declined transport to a hospital after the 8:47 a.m. accident in the Mayville neighborhood.

Parshall said Jonathan Howe, 26, of Bethel, who was driving a 1992 Chevy pickup, had stopped on North Road, but failed to yield to Ingram’s westbound 1995 Ford Escort when Howe drove onto Route 2.

Howe, who was not injured or cited, told Parshall that he hadn’t seen Ingram’s car.

“It was a busy intersection due to weekend traffic,” the deputy said.

Parshall estimated damage to the Escort at $3,500; to the Chevy’s front end, $1,500.
