AUBURN — The McDonald’s restaurant at 138 Center St. will soon close for three months for renovations.

The restaurant will shut down this week and employees will be sent to other McDonald’s restaurants in the area. The Center Street location will then be completely overhauled, expanded and styled in a retro look. The new building will be similar to the new McDonald’s in Lewiston, an assistant manager said. 

The restaurant is tentatively slated to reopen in three months, with a target of Memorial Day.
