The Mountain Valley Athletic Boosters along with the Mountain Valley Rec Basketball League will be hosting the 12th annual MV Rec Basketball tournament March 25, 26 and 27.
This event has a 25-plus year heritage, starting in Rangeley as The Mike’s Pub ‘n’ Grub Tournament in the early 1980s. The tournament holds 16 teams in an ‘A’ an ‘B’ division format.
Games will be played at Mountain Valley High School for the ‘A’ division and Mountain Valley Middle School for the ‘B’ division in a round-robin format, with each team playing three games Friday night and Saturday.
Sunday’s games will be played at MVHS, with a playoff round and championship for each division. There will also be a foul shooting contest, 3-point shooting contest and a slam dunk contest.
There arestill several spots available for teams. All profits from the tournament will benefit the boosters. Last year the tournament raised $4,000.

AUBURN — Auburn Suburban Little League will be holding a final walk-in registration on Wednesday, March 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Edward Little High School cafeteria.

Co-ed softball league

Bridgton Rec sign-ups
BRIDGTON — Registration forms for Bridgton youth baseball and softball are available at the Bridgton Town Office front desk and online on the recreation page of www.bridgtonmaine.org. Forms are due by workout dates.
Baseball workout date is Tuesday March 15. Ages 7-9 will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. and ages 10-12 will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. at the town hall on North High St. Babe Ruth forms will be taken this night as well.
Softball workout date is Friday, March 18. Ages 7-8 will meet from 6 to 6:30 p.m., ages 9-10 from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and ages 11-12 fropm 7 to 7:30 p.m. at town hall. Please show up at least 15 minutes early for workouts. For more information, contact Recreation Director Tom Tash at 647-8786.
