LEWISTON — Singers and toe-tappers alike are invited to participate in a French song session taking place from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St.

Pianist Jeannette Gregoire will join accordionist Irene Coady in providing musical accompaniment as attendees sing a selection of local Franco favorites which have been compiled into song books. Contributions of other songs or stories by those in attendance are also enthusiastically encouraged.

Sponsored by USM LAC’s Franco-American Collection, the event will take place in Room 170, down the hall from the archives’ reading room. Admission is free to all.
