MEXICO — Patrons of the Mexico Public Library can now download audiobooks for free through Maine Infonet, the Maine State Library program.

Just as print books can be signed out by patrons for a set borrowing period of a few weeks, downloadable titles are borrowed in much the same way. This can be done through a variety of devices. Along with the ability to download books to a desktop or laptop computer, library patrons can also download books to the the following e-readers: Barnes & Noble Nook, Sony Reader, Kobo E-Reader, Pandigital Reader, Literati Reader, Pocketbook Pro and Nextbook (Next 2). Supported mobile devices include iPad, iPod Touch, Blackberry, iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile.

To browse the available titles and download books, library card holders at the Mexico Public Library can go to download.maineinfonet.org.

Library patrons will need to know their library card number in order to download books. If that information is needed, please contact the library at 364-3281 or e-mail us at [email protected].
