PORTLAND (AP) — Police say an autopsy has determined that a 43-year-old man died of smoke inhalation in a fire in Portland apartment.

Portland police said Ronald Sapaukus died Tuesday from injuries after his clothes apparently caught fire while he was cooking on his kitchen stove in his Grant Street apartment.

Police said his death has been ruled accidental.
