Music in worship

PARIS — The First Universalist Church of South Paris will observe “Music in Worship” at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 20. The service will include music about spring, music celebrating the 326th birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach and favorite melodies.

Those participating will include Forest Perkins, organist, Renee Wales, flutist, the choir, and soloists, Terry Twitchell, Jeannie and Berdina Whittemore. Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is invited.

Service, parish meeting

NORTH WATERFORD — North Waterford Congregational Church will hold a service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 20, with Rev. Doretta Colburn speaking. A luncheon will follow the service. All are welcome.

The quarterly Parish meeting will follow the luncheon, open to all who wish to stay.

Senior project

PARIS — The senior project for Samantha Brown, Kristina Grenier and Sarah Smith is assisting the Paris Public Library in applying for the Maine Reads Grant. This grant will allow a program to be started in the community to help with literacy needs.

A meeting will be held at the library from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 21, to discuss ideas about fixing literacy issues. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Blood drive

NORWAY — A blood drive will be held in memory of Kenneth Verrill, sponsored by the Masonic Lodge 18, from 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 25, at the lodge, 9 Temple St. For appointments, call the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS or Vicky Verrill at 539-4243. Walk-ins are welcome
