LEWISTON — Funeral services were held Thursday for Fernand L. Cloutier in the upper church of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, following prayers at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Nathan March. The reading was done by Christina Cloutier, the intercessions were read by Stephanie and Gina Cloutier, and the presentation of the gifts was by Natalie Cloutier, Zacharie Ledoux, Taryn Cloutier, Aurelie Ledoux, and Ranger Ledoux. At the end of the Mass, Daniel Cloutier gave the eulogy. Father March recited the prayers of committal at St. Peter’s Cemetery, and then an honor guard from the U.S. Army folded and presented a flag to the widow. Bearers were Jean-Paul Mayer, Andre Mayer, Dominic Cloutier, Justin Cloutier, Raymond Cloutier and Joline Cloutier. Following the service, family and friends gathered at Marco’s Restaurant in order to continue the celebration of Fern’s life.
