AUBURN — Margaret Gertrude Jordan, 89, of Turner died Thursday, March 17, at the Hospice House.
She was born in Peru, May 20, 1921, the daughter of John and Gertrude Lowe O’Connor. She attended St. Joseph’s Parochial school, Turner schools and Leavitt High School.
She married William C. Jordan Sr. on Sept. 12, 1940, in Peru. She had been employed at Priscilla Turner Rug Factory and Pioneer Plastics, retiring in 1988. She loved gardening and many crafts. She also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived her children, Mary Frances Jordan of Turner, David Jordan and wife, Sherilyn, of Leeds and Eugene Jordan and wife, Bonnie, of Turner; daughter-in-law, Gail Jordan of Turner; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Young of Buckfield and Patricia Morrell of Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Jordan Sr. on Sept. 3, 1980; a son, William Jordan Jr. on May 2, 2009; a great-granddaughter, Nicole Robinson; three brothers, Bernard, John and Mike O’Connor; and brothers-in-law, Russell Morrell, James Young, Carl Jordan and Beulah.
