NORWAY — As its first presentation of the 2011 season, the Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association will present “Run For Your Wife,” a British comedy by Ray Cooney.

In the play, John Smith (portrayed by Ian Griffith) is married to both Mary Smith (Rachael Leighton) and Barbara Smith (Cindy Reedy). After being injured in a mugging, John gives Mary’s address at the police station and Barbara’s address at the hospital.

Upstairs neighbors Stanley (Elton Cole) and Bobby (Kyle Martin) become involved, to the attention of police Sgt. Troughton (Max Brown) and Sgt. Porterhouse (Dennis Twitchell.) News photographer (Joey Priebe) insists on covering the mugging story, causing more problems for John, who will do anything to keep his secret. Complications abound, leading to a surprising conclusion.

Because “Run For Your Wife” deals with adult themes and situations, it is not recommended for children under 14.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 31 through April 10, at the Norway Grange Theater, 15 Whitman St.

Tickets are available at Books N Things on Main Street. Tickets for opening night are $5.
