LEWISTON — A three-hour seminar, Social Media: Where It Comes From and Why It Matters to Your Business, will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, in the chamber’s conference room at 415 Lisbon St.

Social media is transforming the way people communicate, sell products and relate to others. The seminar will feature internationally recognized trainer Marc A. Pitman, who will guide a fast-paced journey. It will include where social media come from and why many people already have the skills to make it work, what the tools are, including a specific look at Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, YouTube and FourSquare, and how to measure success.

A Lewiston native, Pitman travels internationally, training organizations in the effective use of social media.
