FARMINGTON — The Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine has partnered with the Maine Forest Service and the Maine Revenue Service to bring a Maine Current Use Property Tax Workshop to landowners from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Farmington Town Office.

Senior property appraiser Lisa Whynot, Maine Revenue Service, will present a workshop on Maine’s current use property tax in coordination with District Forester Patty Cormier, Maine Forest Service.

Topics will include the tree growth, open space and the farmland tax law. These are the three primary current use property tax programs that landowners may want to know more about. There will be time for questions and discussion after each presentation.

The event is free and open to the public. Contact Patty Cormier at 592-2238 or [email protected] for details.
