LEWISTON — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, at the Ramada Inn. A social half hour will be followed by lunch at noon.
Special speakers will be NARFE members Roland Metayer and Claire Breton. Their topic will be “Looking beyond the rhetoric, trying to find some iota of truth.” Roland Metayer has been a NARFE member for 19 years and Claire Breton a member for 15 years. Both are retired postal employees, Roland as Lewiston postmaster and Claire as manager of consumer affairs. They have both served as Legislative representatives for the Lewiston/Auburn NARFE organization for the past four years keeping membership updated, each meeting, regarding NARFE concerns at the state and federal levels.
After the speakers, there will be a business meeting with reading of the minutes and any new or old business to discuss.
Plans for the meeting were conducted via phone by President Richard St. Amand, Paul Ouellette, secretary/treasurer, Doris Hamel, membership and Martha Robinson, program coordinator.
