Thanks to the work of our Chamber president, Ivan Gould, as well as volunteers from the community, we have a wonderful new addition to the Chamber office. A foyer was constructed as you enter the building, which houses a touch screen computer kiosk. This entryway is lighted and will be accessible to the public 24 hours a day, much like a tourist information booth, by the beginning of March. Special thanks to UMF students, Rotarians, TNT Construction, Dennis O’Neill, Sue Atwood, and Sugarloaf security workers who all pitched in to help. All labor was donated, and materials were provided at cost by local businesses including RDM Electric, Hammond Lumber, and Windowman. A public event to showcase the new foyer is planned for March 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
