AUBURN — The Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club celebrated its 20th anniversary recently at Martindale Country Club in Auburn.
The club is a spin-off from the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club and was chartered in 1991 with 20 original members.
Club President Bart Kelsea welcomed the guests, including Rotary District Governor Claude Martel and his wife, Francine Trudel, from Quebec City, and the past district governor, Sylvia Plourde of Lewiston.
Charter member Norm Lamie offered a “History of Our Club,” displaying activities, fundraising events and donations. The club has donated more than $345,000 to local organizations.
New members Joanne Preble, sponsored by Pete Preble, and Felicia Coney, sponsored by Terri DeFilipp, were inducted, bringing the membership total to 41.
