RUMFORD — On Saturday, April 2, the Greater Rumford Area Local Council will sponsor an event for Consumer Council System of Maine called “Eliminating Stigma Through Education Symposium.” This will be a discussion about mental health stigma in Maine. Informational booths will also be available with local, state and federal agencies sharing information.

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mountain Valley High School, 799 Hancock St. The guest speaker will be Randy Seaver, a guest writer for the Portland Press Herald and a communications consultant. A light lunch will be provided.
