MEXICO — The following incidents were handled by the Mexico Police Department.

Burglary

A Carlton Avenue resident reported at 10:49 a.m. March 21 that someone had entered his residence while he was away and stolen a ring and hunting gear valued at $3,000.

Accident

Beverly A. Bowker, 52, of Congress Street, Rumford, struck a deer at 1:15 a.m. March 19 as she was driving west on Route 2 near Naples Packing Co. The deer was killed. Her 1998 four-door Buick sedan sustained $1,650 damage.

Vandalism

An Oxford Federal Credit Union employee reported at 8 a.m. March 18 extensive damage to an ATM machine estimated at between $1,000 and $3,000. A camera at the ATM photographed the vehicle involved. The damage occurred between 2 and 3 a.m. the previous night. Police have a suspect.

Theft

A Canton Point Road, Dixfield, resident reported at 7:18 p.m. March 16 the theft of a magnetic business sign from his vehicle when it was parked in the Walmart parking lot. The sign is valued at about $35. Police have leads.
