LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Robert R. Caron was celebrated on Wednesday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul Prince of Peace Parish following prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. Monsignor Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and Deacon Dean Lachance recited committal prayers at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. Following the committal prayers, the U.S. Army played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Mr. Caron’s wife, Thelma Caron. Pallbearers were Armand and Richard Caron and Maurice and Normand Dubrevil.
