AUBURN — Virginia Mae L’Heureux of Auburn passed away on Saturday, March 19, at the Hospice House.

Ginnie Mae was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Providence, R.I., the daughter of Alfred and Eva Dudley.

Virginia was a dedicated member of the Catholic Church. All of her children attended parochial school. Virginia was an active member of her community and enjoyed traveling as often as she could. She was an organizational officer at Barker Mill Arms, where she lived for many years.

Virginia’s sharp mind, boundless sense of humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed. She could often be found on her computer using e-mail and FaceBook to communicate with family and friends or the internet to keep up with politics of the day.

She was quick to smile, and it was impossible to leave her presence without being offered some kind of parting gift. She regrettably wished she had more time to devote to each member of her large and growing family.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Workman and his wife, Deborah, of Florida; triplet daughters, Carolyn Mickler and her husband, Lynwood, of Florida, Barbara Rowe and her husband, Chester, of Florida, and Ruth Comeau and her husband, Normand, of Maine; son, Laurent L’Heureux of Florida; son, Andre L’Heureux and his wife, Susan, of Virginia; daughter, Louise Folk of Florida; son, Daniel L’Heureux and his wife, June, of Maine; son, William L’Heureux and his wife, Wanda, of Maine; she has many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers; and one sister.

The family thanks staff and friends at Barker Mill Arms and Hospice House for their kindness and compassionate care during Virginia’s final days.
